The 10 Best "One Hit Wonders" From The 1980s
January 9th, 2021
For those of us who were teens and young adults during the 1980s, the fashion then is something that we usually remember with a rather embarrassed grin. After all, the fads back then included pastel suits and huge shoulder pads.
But then again, fashion trends are unpredictable, and sometimes old styles do make a comeback. This may be because enough time has passed that newer generations are starting to think of it as retro. Or maybe some designers lack imagination and creativity so they incorporate 80s styles because they can’t think of anything else.
Whatever the reason may be, here are some 80s fashions which you can still see today:
Ray-Ban Aviators and Wayfarers
If there was an 80s fad that undoubtedly stood the test of time, then it’s the Ray-Ban Aviators. This design was born in the 1930s, and they were also popular in the 60s. But it was Tom Cruise and Top Gun which really boosted sales all over the world. This is one design which will never really become old and obsolete. It’s a classic.
This brand was relaunched backed in the early 2000s, and now you can still see it here and there. You see them in the movies, being worn by the likes of Rihanna and Justin Bieber, and even on your favorite TV shows. Now it’s called a classic, even iconic in design.
This version of the mini is tight and very short indeed. This trend has never really gone away, which is why you have so many upskirt pictures online. If you wear one, try to sit with it first and see that it doesn’t go past your mid-thigh. But if you don’t care, guys won’t mind either!
People always like a hint of color, and nowadays neon is becoming more and more popular. But if you try this trend, just make sure you don’t go overboard. A neon sweater is fine, but don’t go with the all neon look.
I’m pretty sure that there are other 80s trends which are still a hit today. This is especially true among the rebels, the ones who don’t care if fingerless gloves or huge earrings are not exactly in.
