2.    Fatal Attraction (1987)

Fatal Attraction, the erotic thriller, revolves around the married lawyer Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas) and an extramarital affair with his colleague Alex. He tries to sabotage his married life when she becomes obsessed with Dan.

Michael, who has played Dan, is brilliant in his performance, and it is one of the best roles to date.

With their strong performances, both the lead actors have tried to induce the nightmare of the “consequences” and moral dilemmas that come with mistakes.

3.    Romancing the Stone (1984)

4.    The War of the Roses (1989)

Another masterpiece starring Michael Douglas, The War of the Roses, is about a Washington lawyer and his wife’s divorce after 17 years of marriage and the battle of wills among the two on dividing possessions.

The movie is terrific, and with their gripping performances, Turner and Michael have successfully impressed the viewers yet again.  This black comedy subtly portrays how messy divorces are and the mirage of happy married life.

5.    A Chorus Line (1985)

“A Chorus Line” is a typical backstage musical, a celebration of the lives and hard times of hundreds of gypsy dancers auditioning for Broadway jobs.

Michael has played the role of a choreographer named Zach.

Some may not find this movie great; however, A Chorus Line successfully depicts the hard and bitter truth of the story where many dancers are called, but few are chosen. Overall, the movie is a perfect watch.
